John has practiced in Pampa, Texas for more than 50 years.  He was the Pampa Municipal Court Judge from 1963 through 1968 and the Gray County Attorney from 1969 through 1977.  He was appointed to the Advisory Board for the Discovery Task Force Commission by now Texas Chief Justice Nathan Hecht.  He has served as a Director of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association.  He has published articles in "Voice for the Defense", a magazine published by the Texas Criminal Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice. John has been a speaker at the national convention of the American Association for Justice in Denver, Colorado and Washington, D.C.  John has tried more than 300 jury cases and is one of the few lawyers in the Texas Panhandle to have a multi-million dollar jury verdict.
